A Talk by Nicolete Blackett-Ord

The High Helbeck Estate is a unique nature restoration and sustainability project in the Cumbrian North Pennines. The Estate is run by Nicolete and Ben Blackett-Ord and combines a small-scale shooting business with a multifaceted project working in collaboration with the North Pennines AONB, The RSPB and The Woodland Trust to improve habitat for multiple species across the varied terrain of the Estate and increase biodiversity.

Nicolete is passionate about the environment and promoting public access and understanding to the countryside and specifically the North Pennines.

This is the fourth talk in a series being hosted by Teesdale Special Flora Trust’s Plants on the Edge project during 2022-23, following the successful earlier talks by Dr Margaret Bradshaw, John O’Reilly, Lee Schofield and Lief Bersweden.

“Absolutely fascinating talk, inspiring and informative.”
“Great talk. Accessible price too! Thank you.”
