Tonya Mitchell is a local artist who has a heart for Teesdale, Weardale, and Northumberland.  This is a general collection of her work.

This collection spans wide landscapes and intimate spaces. The oil paintings show real places in Teesdale, Weardale and Northumberland. If you live in these areas or holiday in them, you will recognise many. The artist aims for accuracy of place along with artistic choices that reflect the character of the place. You will see canvases large and small, there will be prints large and small framed, unframed and cards galore.  Scenes from the Northumberland coast featuring Warkworth Castle, a painting of the Robinson Arch from Bishop Auckland and a dramatic evening painting of the Butter mart in Barnard Castle.
