Mozart to Miller with Hurworth Concert Band

Hurworth Concert Band is delighted to return to the Witham and is looking forward to bringing “Mozart to Miller” to Barnard Castle this Autumn. Under the ever-watchful eye of Musical Director Bob Howe, Hurworth Concert Band will transport you on a musical journey through time as they bring to life ageless classics from W.A. Mozart to Glenn Miller and everything in between!

Hurworth Concert Band is a wind band which was formed in 1966 and rehearses at Hurworth Grange near Darlington.
Our present Musical Director, Bob Howe, joined us in 2002.

The band has continued to grow and has become established for their high standard of performance and musical ability. Our musicians are from a variety of backgrounds, which includes ex-military, professional and talented local amateurs.

The band library contains a wide repertoire of musical genres, ranging from classical, popular, modern and contemporary pieces along with established and new operatic, film and musical selections.

Our previous concerts have included instrumentalists, vocalists, choirs, pipes and drums, bugle and proms evenings. We also feature solo performances from members of the band.

Our rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings and start at 7.30 pm. We welcome players of all abilities and backgrounds.
