From Teesdale to the Top of The World – A Talk by Calum Matthews

The Honourable Artillery Company Everest Expedition 2025. 

Calum, son of Richard and Mary Matthews of Cotherstone, as well as working for the Foreign Office, is a part-time army reservist with the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC), one of Britain’s oldest regiments. This spring the HAC has put together a team of reserve soldiers to tackle Everest.  They are currently in Nepal and hope to reach the summit over the next eight weeks, Calum has agreed to share his experiences with us when he returns to Teesdale in December.

In aid of the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team.
