Finding W.H. Hudson – A Talk by Conor Mark Jameson
Author and naturalist, Conor Mark Jameson will give an illustrated talk about his research into the life and times of the once revered but now neglected W. H. Hudson. Conor reveals how this unschooled, impoverished, battle-scarred immigrant came to be so influential in the creation of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) by its founding women, and in the rise of the modern-day conservation movement. An inspiring, rags to riches tale, bringing to life an extraordinary chapter in British history.
This event takes place upstairs in our intimate Witham Room.
