Don’t Cry for Me Kenny Dalglish
‘Don’t Cry for me Kenny Dalglish’ is a show written, directed and performed by Andrew Macmillen. The production is based on his memories of the 1978 World Cup and seven years living in Argentina. The show follows the story of Danny McLure, from his childhood as a football fanatic to a middle-aged man reflecting on his experiences following Scotland at the 1978 World Cup and serving as a soldier during the Falklands War. This Edinburgh Fringe hit show is a heartfelt mix of politics, sport and romance featuring Eva Peron, David Bowie and of course… Kenny Dalglish.
“A very moving and deep story about football, friendship, human rights & equality, David Bowie and love. A must-see performance with real genuine storytelling and a human touch. Highly recommended.”
