Virtual Creative Writing workshops: An epic story of Teesdale by the people of Teesdale
Working with the writer and creative practitioner David Napthine, we invite you to participate in this unique creative writing course to create a multi-layered and innovative work full of delight and surprise.
Participants will work with David in a collective and dynamic process that will see an epic story emerge weekly. The course will be delivered through five virtual workshops, each lasting 40 minutes, starting Tuesday 2nd June 2020 at 2pm with up to 10 participants in each session. Each session will build your skills as we develop the epic story of Teesdale and our people.
These will be hosted by David on Zoom and we ask participants to book here, give us your email address so we can invite you to the Zoom workshops and, ideally, attend all the sessions if possible. When you have booked your place to join the project and provided your email address, you will receive the invite links to the workshops.
With The Witham team working hard on plans to re-open, your collaborative story – IT IS, AND IT IS NOT, TRUE – will then be presented to the public in the autumn. The date is yet to be confirmed.
Aimed at adults who are 55 + years and are residents in Teesdale, this project has been funded by Enriching Later Life and is free to participants. You don’t need any previous creative writing experience.
