Amanda is a shepherdess, mother to nine children, a passionate photographer and Sunday Times bestselling author.
Amanda’s TV journey started over a decade ago, with appearances on shows such as Countrywise (ITV), The Dales (ITV) and Ben Fogle’s New Lives in The Wild (C5), as well as more recent projects such as Summer on the Farm: An Extraordinary Year (ITV), Winter Walks (BBC), All Over The Workplace (BBC), Masterchef (BBC), The Museum of Curiosity (R4), Pooch Mooch (SkyKids) and Springtime on The Farm (C5).
For her most recent TV project, Amanda has travelled the length and breadth of the UK to discover other inspirational and moving farming stories in a brand-new 6 part series: Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives (More4).
Amanda is also the author of five Sunday Times bestselling books: The Yorkshire Shepherdess; A Year In The Life of The Yorkshire Shepherdess; The Adventures of The Yorkshire Shepherdess; and Tales from the Farm. Amanda’s latest book: Celebrating the Seasons, which was published in 2021, is a month-by-month seasonal account of life on the farm. Part photography book, part recipe book and part memoir, this latest publication includes over 200 stunning photographs taken by Amanda, showcasing the bleak and beautiful landscape she calls home. It was one of the UK’s top ten bestselling non-fiction titles of 2021 and was also shortlisted at the British Book Awards 2022.
