Our French Intern shares her thoughts on her time at The Witham

Pauline Calvayrac writes about her time at The Witham (June – July 2019):

I have been doing my internship at The Witham for 5 weeks now and I wish it wasn’t going to end!

I am studying Applied Languages and Business subjects at the University of Paris Est Créteil, and I’m going to Diderot next year. I was looking for an internship abroad and a French friend happened to know one of The Witham’s volunteers. She then put me in touch with the team here and Voilà, here I am! I took the plunge and have never had an ounce of regret.

I feel incredibly lucky to be having this experience in such a beautiful region but especially in an amazing place like The Witham. The atmosphere here is just great, and I felt welcomed, safe and trusted straight away.

I have been given the opportunity to do a lot of different things, and every member of The Witham team has taken time to help me. Every day I see people giving their time and dedication to others, spreading love and solidarity. This place is all about community and sharing!

It is exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you, everyone. I wanted to name people here but there are so many of you, it’s impossible to list you all!

Thank you to you, Pauline, for your amazing attitude, patience, energy and support. We have loved having you as a member of The Witham team. Please do come again!
