Watercolour Painting and Drawing Course: All Abilities
Wednesdays 19 January to 30 March 2022 (no class half-term week 23 Feb)
Aimed at those who want to improve their skills. Each week we will paint from a different image, using photography to aid the picture-making process. We will select and arrange the images to form a new image to paint a convincing painting.
Your drawing skills will be developed by study of “Still Life” subjects from which we will also paint directly.
We will look to past Masters of Watercolour for inspiration: JWM Turner, John Singer Sargent, Samuel Palmer, and some contemporary watercolour painters.
We will cover a variety of subjects.
Ginny Whittle has a B.A Hons in Fine Art and a Post Graduate Adult Teaching Qualification and has exhibited Nationally and Locally. If you are keen to have an adventure without travel, come and join this class, develop your abilities and produce your own works within guided sessions.
To ensure COVID-19 safety, please bring your own art materials with you (brushes, paints, paper, sketchbook, water pot or jam jar). Student quality ‘Cotman Paints’ are recommended for best results.
Classes will take place in the Witham Room. Max 20.
