Sarah Gent, Programming and Marketing Manager, writes in response to the #BarnardCastle news this week.

We are proud of #BarnardCastle.

It is a place well worth a visit with a host of amazing places to discover such as The Bowes MuseumT C R The Hub, the English Heritage Castle (once you’ve found it) and Raby Castle very close too. The Witham community arts centre (when we are open) is well worth a visit too!

Oh and not forgetting the fish and chips from Katies Traditional Fish & Chips and No 149 Burrells Traditional Fish and Chips. And of course the The Corner Bistro, Moments Cafe and Penny’s too!

We might be in lockdown but our community makes parades happen anyway, thanks to Covid Cutzs and The Barney Meet!
