“Thy Friendship makes us fresh” William Shakespeare, Henry VI, Part I
Here at The Witham arts centre, our passion, imagination and determination are boundless – unlike our resources!
We are a small team and don’t employ a fundraising specialist; we regularly apply for, and secure grants, but we are not a regularly funded organisation. This means that we rely on volunteers, ticket sales, gallery sales, custom in the Dispensary cafe, donations, and the support of our Friends to ensure our survival.
The Witham continues to go from strength-to-strength thanks to the fantastic support and enthusiasm displayed by the local community. Should you wish to support The Witham further, there are three key ways that you can get involved - by volunteering, becoming a Friends of The Witham, or by making a donation.
We're looking to build upon our team of enthusiastic volunteers to help us engage with members of the public and help the keep the cogs at The Witham well oiled. We'd like to hear from you if you: are looking to learn new skills, share existing skills, enjoy working in a team, enjoy working in public facing roles, if you're looking to get back into work, or if you simply want to put something back into your local community. We’re looking for volunteers who can spare a minimum of eight hours per month in order to help out at The Witham.
Roles that we’re currently recruiting for include: Gallery Assistants, Box Office and Visitor Information Assistants, Stewards, and a Retail Volunteer.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01833 631107 to have a chat about volunteering and request a Volunteer Inquiry Form.
Supporting The Witham with an annual Friends Membership will allow you to enjoy a range of benefits, including:
An annual Friends Membership costs £20 for Individual Membership, or £35 for Joint Membership (two people living at the same address). Download a form here and drop it into the Box Office Shop during opening hours.
